Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with her Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC.
